India, Sept. 21 -- Printing on a flat surface is only part of what digital inkjet technology can do. Epson is now taking the technology into more complex shapes with Epson CONTOURJET, a new brand for its Direct-to-Shape Printing System that combines Epson's inkjet and robotics technologies.

The system is designed to print directly onto three-dimensional objects with curved and uneven surfaces. Epson says the solution will target applications including sports equipment, automotive parts and industrial products as it expands globally.
