India, Sept. 30 -- AI is helping security teams detect and respond to threats faster, but Cisco's latest research points to a less technical problem holding that progress back. Teams still struggle with shared visibility, unclear ownership and fragmented data.

The Cisco security report, based on the Relentless Defense Report, scored organisations on protection coverage, detection and response speed, remediation and the operational barriers that slow security teams down. The global average score was 64 out of 100, compared with 66 in India. Just 8% of organisations globally and in India qualified as "Relentless Defenders."
