India, Nov. 2 -- Akamai's partner strategy is changing. Its 2026 announcements show a clear shift towards an ecosystem built around cloud modernisation, managed security and AI infrastructure.

The company has added system integrators, security service providers, distributors and software partners to its network. Their capabilities cover everything from API security and cloud migration to AI engineering and virtual desktop infrastructure.

India is central to this approach. At its India Partner Summit on 7 May 2026, Akamai said that more than 60% of its new business in the country was partner-generated.
