India, June 16 -- An active western disturbance is expected to bring thunderstorms, gusty winds, rain and dust storms across several parts of India.

Delhi-NCR is likely to see light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms and strong winds between June 16 and June 21.

Heavy rainfall is forecast in parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Bihar, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Western Rajasthan may see dust storms and strong winds reaching up to 80 km/h in some districts.

The southwest monsoon has advanced through parts of Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar, with further progress expected over the next four to five days.
