India, Aug. 25 -- Battery-grade lithium carbonate prices are set to average about RMB 140,000 per tonne in August, a 10.3% monthly drop, while high-capacity energy storage cell prices fell 4% in July, InfoLink Consulting reports.

The firm now expects a slight lithium surplus by 2027, shifting market focus from short-term inventory drawdowns to longer-term supply recovery and easing prices.
