India, June 18 -- The IMD has issued warnings for heavy rain, thunderstorms, hailstorms, strong winds, heatwave conditions and humid weather across several parts of India.

Northwest India is likely to see thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds, with Rajasthan facing dust storms and squally winds of up to 80km/h in some pockets.

Delhi-NCR may see cloudy skies, light rain or drizzle, and gusty winds of 40-50km/h.

Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim and sub-Himalayan West Bengal are under orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall, with risks of localised flooding and landslides.

Heatwave conditions are likely to persist in parts of Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Telangana.
