India, July 3 -- Zydus Lifesciences has partnered with Apollo Hospitals to introduce the Shield multi-cancer detection (MCD) test in India. The company will offer the test under its exclusive agreement with Guardant Health, which grants Zydus the rights to commercialise the screening technology in the country.
The collaboration aims to improve early cancer detection by expanding access to advanced screening technology that complements existing cancer screening methods, the company said.
