India, March 11 -- Zinc prices edged lower in futures trade on Wednesday as traders trimmed positions amid subdued demand in the physical market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, zinc contracts for April delivery slipped by 5 paise, or 0.02%, to Rs 328.80 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 78 lots.
Analysts said reduced exposure by market participants, driven by weaker demand from consuming industries in the spot market, weighed on zinc prices.
