India, May 4 -- Zinc prices edged lower on Monday, with futures slipping 50 paise to Rs 343.60 per kg as traders reduced exposure amid weak spot market cues.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery declined by 50 paise, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 343.60 per kg, with a turnover of 183 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline to subdued demand from consuming industries in the physical market, which prompted participants to trim positions.
