India, March 4 -- Zinc prices on Wednesday declined by 25 paise to Rs 329.75 per kg in futures trade as speculators trimmed their positions, taking cues from weak trends in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery fell by 25 paise, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 329.75 per kilogram in a business turnover of 31 lots.

Analysts said the fall in prices was mainly due to participants cutting their exposure amid subdued demand from consuming industries in the physical market.
