India, Sept. 1 -- Waaree Transpower, a subsidiary of Waaree Energies, plans to invest Rs 192 crore to expand its high-voltage transformer manufacturing capacity through the establishment of a new facility.

The facility is expected to be operational by April 2027 and will allow the company to manufacture transformers across 132 kV, 220 kV and 400 kV voltage classes, according to a company statement.

As part of the expansion, Waaree Transpower is setting up a 500 MVA, 400 kV transformer manufacturing facility, significantly strengthening its capabilities in the power transformer segment.
