India, Aug. 18 -- The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has completed more than 20 million (over 2 crore) Mandatory Biometric Updates (MBU) for school children as part of its nationwide mission-mode campaign.
The initiative has been supported by UIDAI's integration with the Unified District Information System for Education Plus (UDISE+), allowing authorities to track the MBU status of children through schools.
Launched in September 2025, the special drive has so far covered more than 1.56 lakh schools across the country.
