India, July 8 -- Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd has announced that its merger with J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd has become effective from July 8, 2026, following the filing of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) order and the approved Scheme of Amalgamation with the Registrar of Companies.
With the Scheme now in effect, JB Chemicals has been amalgamated into Torrent Pharma and stands dissolved without being wound up. The merger was approved by the NCLT, Ahmedabad Bench, while the appointed date for the amalgamation is January 21, 2026.
Following the merger, Torrent Pharma's Memorandum of Association has been amended to reflect its revised authorised share capital of Rs 255.30 crore, comprising 46.06 crore equity shares of Rs 5 e...
