India, July 28 -- Tata Power has finalised plans to establish a solar wafer and ingot manufacturing plant at the Tata Steel Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Odisha.
The company had earlier been evaluating Odisha and Andhra Pradesh as potential locations for the project. However, it has now confirmed Odisha as the site for the new manufacturing facility.
The upcoming plant is expected to strengthen Tata Power's presence in the solar manufacturing value chain and support India's clean energy ambitions.
