India, May 21 -- Silver prices declined on Thursday, with futures falling by Rs 2,199 to Rs 2,72,066 per kilogram as traders reduced their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for July delivery slipped 0.8 percent to trade at Rs 2,72,066 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,147 lots.

Market analysts attributed the decline to profit booking and fresh selling pressure by participants in the futures market.
