India, July 8 -- Silver futures declined on Wednesday as traders reduced their positions, leading to a modest correction in prices.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for September delivery fell by Rs 1,062, or 0.46%, to Rs 2,29,795 per kg, with a trading volume of 846 lots.

Market analysts attributed the decline in silver futures to profit-booking and fresh selling by market participants.
