India, June 18 -- Silver futures witnessed sharp selling pressure on Thursday as traders pared their positions, leading to a decline in prices.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for July delivery fell by Rs 6,057, or 2.41 per cent, to Rs 2,45,750 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,690 lots.
According to market analysts, profit booking and reduced participation by traders weighed on silver prices, resulting in a broad-based decline in the precious metal's futures contracts.
