India, March 10 -- Silver futures climbed sharply on Tuesday, with prices rising 3.91 per cent to Rs 2.77 lakh per kilogram amid global uncertainties that supported safe-haven demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for May delivery surged by Rs 10,442, or 3.91 per cent, to Rs 2,77,602 per kg, registering a business turnover of 2,300 lots.
Market analysts attributed the rally in silver prices to fresh positions created by traders in the futures market.
