India, Aug. 21 -- Silver futures advanced sharply in Friday's trade, rising Rs 2,369 to Rs 2,45,612 per kg, supported by a positive trend in international markets and fresh buying by market participants.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the September-delivery contract gained 0.97 per cent to Rs 2,45,612 per kg, with 2,663 lots changing hands.
Analysts attributed the rise to the creation of fresh positions by traders amid favourable global market conditions.
