India, Sept. 10 -- Sigma Advanced Systems has commenced production at its dedicated aerospace manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, completing the transition from construction to active production in eight months.

The facility has manufactured its first batch of precision-machined aerospace components, which have been shipped to Sigma UK for final verification ahead of delivery to the customer. The Sri City operation has also completed the initial stages of the source-change approval process with Rolls-Royce Aerospace.

The facility is being developed as part of a larger 500,000 sq ft campus. Around 75,000 sq ft is currently operational, providing an annual production capacity of 100,000 machining hours. The first facility is...
