India, April 20 -- SAEL Industries has commenced operations of a 600 MW solar power project in Kurnool, marking a significant addition to its renewable energy portfolio.
The project, spread over more than 2,400 acres, comprises two units of 300 MW each, developed through its subsidiaries. The company has secured a 25-year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India, ensuring long-term revenue visibility.
The plant will feed power into the national grid and is expected to reduce carbon emissions by around 11 lakh tonnes annually, supporting India's clean energy goals.
