India, Oct. 6 -- The Indian rupee slipped 4 paise to 96.39 against the US dollar in early trade on Tuesday, pressured by higher crude oil prices and continued foreign investor outflows.
The domestic currency opened at 96.29 at the interbank foreign exchange market before weakening to 96.39. However, gains in domestic equities and a softer dollar index helped limit the rupee's decline.
