India, July 30 -- The Indian rupee appreciated by 13 paise to 95.63 against the US dollar in early trade on Thursday, supported by positive sentiment in domestic equity markets and continued foreign capital inflows.

The local currency opened at 95.59 in the interbank foreign exchange market before easing slightly to 95.63, still marking a 13-paise gain from the previous close.

However, forex traders noted that the rupee's upside remained limited due to the strengthening of the US dollar index after the US Federal Reserve decided to keep interest rates unchanged.
