India, Oct. 7 -- The rupee declined 10 paise to 96.45 against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday, ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's monetary policy decision.
Forex traders said the domestic currency remained under pressure amid continued foreign fund outflows from Indian equities, while the US dollar remained firm near multi-month highs, with the Dollar Index holding above 102.
Market participants are closely watching the RBI's policy decision for further direction on the rupee and domestic markets.
