India, Aug. 12 -- India's retail inflation rose to 4.45% in July, up from 4.38% in June, driven largely by an increase in food prices, according to government data released on Wednesday.

Food inflation also climbed to 5.52% in July from 5.32% in the previous month, data released by the National Statistics Office showed.
