India, Aug. 14 -- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 1.80 lakh on Valuefin India Credit Services Private Limited for non-compliance with its directions concerning the acquisition of shareholding or control.
The penalty was imposed through an order dated August 11, 2026, under provisions of the RBI Act, 1934. The action followed correspondence between the RBI and the company regarding the post-facto approval sought for the acquisition of more than 26% of the company's paid-up equity capital by new investors.
