India, June 16 -- The Reserve Bank of India has announced that the premature redemption price for Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) 2020-21 Series III has been fixed at Rs 14,774 per unit for investors opting to redeem their bonds on June 16, 2026.
Under the terms of the Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme, investors are permitted to redeem their bonds prematurely after the completion of five years from the date of issue, on interest payment dates. The SGB 2020-21 Series III tranche was issued on June 16, 2020, making June 16, 2026, the next eligible premature redemption date.
