India, May 19 -- The Reserve Bank of India has appointed Gunveer Singh as Executive Director with effect from May 18, 2026.
Before his elevation, Singh was serving as Chief General Manager-in-Charge of the Department of Payment and Settlement Systems at the central bank.
He brings more than three decades of experience at the RBI, having worked across areas including payment and settlement systems, banking and non-banking supervision, risk monitoring and government banking operations. He has also worked as a payment systems expert with the Central Bank of Oman.
In his new role as Executive Director, Singh will oversee the Department of Payment and Settlement Systems.Shri Singh is a Chartered Accountant and a Cost and Works Accountant.
