India, Sept. 28 -- Indian Railways has approved a new tri-weekly Machilipatnam–Kurnool City Express via Vijayawada, providing an additional rail connectivity option between coastal and central Andhra Pradesh.
The train will cover 499 km, departing Machilipatnam at 4:55 PM and reaching Kurnool City at 5:45 AM the next day. The return service will depart Kurnool City at 9:30 AM and reach Machilipatnam at 9:35 PM the same day.
The Machilipatnam–Kurnool service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, while the return service will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The train will have commercial stoppages at Gudivada, Vijayawada, Narasaraopet, Vinukonda, Donakonda, Markapur Road, Cumbum, Giddalur, Diguvametta, Nand...
