India, March 19 -- State-run power major NTPC on Thursday announced that its subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd, has commenced commercial operations of 165 MW capacity at the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar Project in Gujarat.
With this addition, NTPC Group's total installed capacity has reached 88,709 MW, while its commercial capacity stands at 87,629 MW, according to a regulatory filing.
The company stated that the latest 165 MW capacity marks the fourth phase of the Khavda-II Solar PV project and has achieved commercial operation status effective March 19, 2026.
