India, Sept. 30 -- The National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency (NRIDA) under the Ministry of Rural Development and IIM Kolkata have signed an MoU to conduct a four-year longitudinal impact assessment of roads developed under PMGSY-IV and PM-JANMAN.
The study will cover 10 States/UTs, 50 districts, 150 blocks and 250 roads, with around 5,000 households surveyed to assess changes in mobility, accessibility and socio-economic conditions.
The assessment will compare pre-construction and post-construction outcomes, with the study comprising a 14-month baseline survey, a 12-month transition period and a 22-month endline survey.
