India, May 25 -- NITI Aayog convened the first meeting of the High-Powered 'Education to Employment and Enterprise' Standing Committee on May 22, 2026, following the announcement made in the Union Budget 2026-27.
The committee has been formed to support India's goal of achieving a 10 per cent share in the global services market by 2047. It will focus on improving growth, employment generation, exports, and preparing the workforce for the impact of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
