India, May 21 -- Nibe Limited announced that its Vayu Astra-1 Loitering Munition has successfully completed technical trials conducted against the Indian Army's requirements at Pokhran in Rajasthan and Joshimath (Malari) in Uttarakhand.

During the anti-personnel strike trial at the Pokhran range, the system successfully hit a target located 100 km away with a 10 kg warhead in a single attempt, achieving a circular error probable (CEP) of under one metre. The company also demonstrated abort, attack, and re-attack capabilities during the mission.

For the anti-armour strike trial, the loitering munition carried out a successful night operation using an infrared camera and struck the target within a 2-metre CEP in a single attempt. The trial ...
