India, March 13 -- The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has received 18 bids from highway developers for the construction of the 85.6-km Kaliabor–Numaligarh section of NH-715 in Assam, to be implemented under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode.

The project, estimated to cost around Rs 6,956 crore, will pass through the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve and is expected to be awarded in the current financial year. The project was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, and the foundation stone was laid by Narendra Modi in January 2026.
