India, May 13 -- The National Statistics Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has revised the release schedule for the Provisional Estimates (PE) of annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and fourth-quarter GDP data.
Under the revised timeline, the annual GDP provisional estimates and Q4 GDP figures will now be released on June 7 each year, or the previous working day if June 7 falls on a holiday, instead of the last working day of May.
The ministry said the decision was taken after consultations with the Advisory Committee on National Accounts Statistics (ACNAS) to further improve the quality and robustness of national accounts data.
