India, Sept. 24 -- Maruti Suzuki India has commissioned its first 300 kW Green Hydrogen (GH2) electrolyser plant on a pilot basis at its manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana.
The green hydrogen produced at the plant will be blended with natural gas and used as process fuel in manufacturing operations. The facility will also utilise surplus solar power generated at the Manesar plant during holidays to produce and store hydrogen for subsequent use.
Based on the experience from the pilot project, Maruti Suzuki plans to scale up green hydrogen adoption across its manufacturing facilities in Haryana and Gujarat.
