India, Oct. 1 -- Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Business sold 50,208 tractors in the domestic market in September 2026, down 23% from 64,946 units sold in the same month last year.

The company attributed the decline primarily to a shift in the festive season, which begins in October this year compared with September in 2025. The year-on-year comparison was also affected by a higher base last year, when tractor demand benefited from the implementation of a GST rate cut.

Meanwhile, tractor exports rose 62% year-on-year to 1,892 units in September 2026, according to the company.
