India, July 22 -- JSW Energy Ltd has completed the acquisition of an additional equity stake in Toshiba JSW Power Systems Pvt. Ltd. (TJPS) from Toshiba Corporation, Japan, for a cash consideration of Rs. 150 crore.
Following the transaction, JSW Energy's shareholding in TJPS has increased to 20.7% from 4.6% on a non-diluted basis and to 10.7% from 2.4% on a fully diluted basis, strengthening its ownership in the joint venture.
TJPS, a joint venture between JSW Energy, Toshiba Corporation and JSW Steel Ltd, operates a manufacturing facility in Chennai that produces supercritical and ultra-supercritical steam turbine generators with capacities of up to 1,000 MW.
