India, Aug. 7 -- JSW Energy has completed the acquisition of 100% equity in Maruti Clean Coal & Power Ltd (MCCPL) for an enterprise value of Rs 1,410 crore, making the company its wholly-owned subsidiary.
MCCPL operates a 300 MW thermal power plant at Korba, Chhattisgarh, with a long-term power purchase agreement for 195 MW with Rajasthan discoms, around 14 years of remaining contract life, and long-term coal linkage through SECL under the SHAKTI scheme.
With this acquisition, JSW Energy's installed generation capacity has increased to 14,835 MW. The company said the asset is immediately EBITDA- and PAT-accretive, while also reducing net leverage and offering operational synergies through its proximity to the Mahanadi plant. JSW Energy co...
