India, July 17 -- Indian Railways has approved the doubling of the 14-km Tadali–Ghugus railway section in Maharashtra at an estimated cost of Rs. 228 crore, aimed at enhancing network capacity and improving freight movement on a key rail corridor.
The Tadali–Ghugus section is part of the Wardha–Balharshah route on the Delhi–Chennai High Density Network (HDN) and currently operates as a single-line track. The doubling project is expected to ease congestion, improve train operations, and support rising freight demand.
