India, Sept. 1 -- Domestic passenger vehicle sales in India are estimated to have grown around 35 per cent year-on-year to nearly 4.5 lakh units in August, supported by strong performances from major automakers including Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Mahindra & Mahindra.
The auto industry continues to benefit from the impact of GST rate reductions, income-tax benefits and repo rate cuts, with automakers entering the upcoming festive season on a positive note.
