India, April 20 -- Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd has initiated restart activities at its Phenol and Cumene plants at the Kochi unit after the resumption of LPG supply by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.
The plants were temporarily shut due to a force majeure event linked to disruption in LPG availability. With supply now restored as per directions from the Government of India, the company has commenced necessary operational works to bring the facilities back online.
HOCL stated that an update on the resumption of commercial production at the Phenol and Cumene plants will be shared in due course.
