India, Nov. 2 -- Guar seed prices increased Rs. 35, or 0.44%, to Rs. 8,040 per quintal in futures trade on Monday, supported by fresh position building by investors.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar seed contracts for December delivery traded higher at Rs. 8,040 per quintal, with an open interest of 37,625 lots.

Market participants attributed the rise to increased investor positions in guar seed futures.
