India, June 2 -- Guar seed prices moved higher in futures trade on Tuesday, supported by increased participation and fresh positions taken by market participants.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the June delivery contract for guar seed gained Rs 20, or 0.34%, to Rs 5,965 per quintal. The contract recorded an open interest of 41,800 lots.
The commodity had settled at Rs 5,945 per quintal in the previous trading session. Analysts attributed the uptick in prices to higher bets by traders and renewed buying activity in the futures market.
