India, Aug. 17 -- Guar seed futures moved higher by Rs 53 to Rs 6,188 per quintal on Monday, supported by increased buying interest from investors despite weakness in spot prices.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar seed contracts for September delivery gained Rs 53, or 0.86%, to Rs 6,188 per quintal. Open interest in the contract stood at 48,585 lots.
Market participants said stronger bets by investors helped lift guar seed futures, even as prices in the physical market remained under pressure.
