India, July 22 -- Guar seed futures edged higher on Wednesday as increased buying interest from investors supported market sentiment. The August contract on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) rose Rs. 43, or 0.71%, to Rs. 6,076 per quintal, with an open interest of 52,375 lots.

Market participants attributed the rise in futures prices to fresh investor positions despite a decline in spot market prices.
