India, April 24 -- Guar seed prices fell on Friday, dropping Rs 27 to Rs 5,687 per quintal in futures trade due to ample market supplies.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for May delivery declined by Rs 27, or 0.47%, to Rs 5,687 per quintal, with an open interest of 53,895 lots.
Traders attributed the fall to increased arrivals and higher supplies from key producing regions, which weighed on prices.
