India, April 10 -- Guar gum prices declined by Rs 106 to Rs 10,788 per quintal in futures trade on Friday, as traders reduced positions amid a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for May delivery fell Rs 106, or 0.98%, to Rs 10,788 per quintal, with an open interest of 53,015 lots.
Market participants attributed the decline to subdued demand in the physical market along with increased supplies from key producing regions, which continued to weigh on prices.
