India, Oct. 6 -- Guar gum futures prices rose sharply on Tuesday, supported by firm demand in the spot market and increased buying by speculators.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for November delivery climbed Rs 332, or 2.47%, to Rs 13,756 per quintal, with an open interest of 55,825 lots.

Analysts said the positive trend in the physical market encouraged traders to increase their positions, supporting guar gum futures prices.
