India, July 24 -- Guar gum futures rose on Friday as firm demand in the physical market prompted traders to increase their positions.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the August contract gained Rs 40, or 0.34%, to Rs 11,694 per quintal, with an open interest of 61,000 lots.
Market analysts said the uptick in prices was driven by strong spot market demand, which encouraged speculators to build fresh positions.
